BEST PIZZA EVER !!!
Galasso's Pizzeria
48 Bridge Street, Frenchtown, New Jersey
Telephone: (908) 996-2511

Having grown up in northern New Jersey within view of Manhattan, we had access to the best and worst pizza the tri-state area had to offer. We suffered through a variety of Famous Ray's, from bad to good versions of both "Famous" and "Original" Rays. We also ventured through a wide area of Brooklyn with some great results.  That said, this recommendation is for a very special kind of pie. Not the traditional thin crust for which there are a number of great establishments throughout the area. We encourage you to make it to Galasso's Pizzeria in Frenchtown, NJ and order their Brooklyn Pizza, a truly extraordinary square tomato pie the likes of which you will find nowhere else. For the long ride home order their cold Arugula Pie for something equally unique. The nice thing about Galasso's is that it is a wonderful Italian restaurant disguised as a pizza parlor.  Their menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of beef, feather and fowl dishes from various regions.  Be sure to review their blackboard specials for some great seafood dishes.  One of our favorites is their pork osso bucco, which appears frequently on their blackboard specials.

If It's Tuesday, It's Prime Rib Night!
$18.95
THE CENTRE BRIDGE INN

The tavern at the Centre Bridge Inn is already one of our favorite haunts on a brisk autumn evening that  might call for a snifter of warm cognac.  Add to that a rare prime rib dinner in front of their huge fireplace and you have the makings of a memorable night that will carry you through the rest of the week. You've suffered through three Presidential debates and its time to treat yourself  to something very special that won't break the bank. Call the inn asap to reserve your table. http://www.centrebridgeinn.com/

IT'S SATURDAY !
ARE YOU READY FOR A
141st PORK & OYSTER SUPPER?

After a depressing rain-filled Friday, you are entitled to treat yourself to a traditional country church supper the likes of which you will find nowhere else. Come 3:00pm this afternoon, make your way to the Carversville Christian Church in the historic village of Carversville, Pa. The ride to Carversville will be half the treat.  We recommend driving north from New Hope on River Road to the village of Lumberville.  At the stop sign in Lumberville make a left onto Fleecydale Road into Carversville. Continue straight through the stop sign in Carversville onto Aquetong Road. The church will be on your left. http://carversvilleucc.com/

Wednesday Night Recommendation

Here's our recommendation for mid-week break. Saunter over to Lambertville Wednesday night and enjoy a glass of wine at the charming Boathouse in the Pork Yard on Coryell Street. After a glass make your way across the courtyard to the Hamilton's Grill Room for a great grilled rack of lamb or grill fish or steak (keep in mind that the Hamilton Grill Room is a BYOB). Afterwards, perhaps back to the Boathouse for a cognac beside their potbelly stove.  http://www.hamiltonsgrillroom.com/about.html

We went here a couple of times and consider it one of the best restaurants in the area thanks to chef Javan Small. Chef Small attended Johnson & Wales culinary school and perfected his unique style under renowned master chef Lea Linster at her Michelin rated restaurant in Luxembourg. The offer is for half off the farm to table four course tasting menu that normally costs $80, but can be had today for $40. You have to use the Groupon before January 3, 2013   www.groupon.com/philadelphia http://thefarmhouse.com/
